Oxford's municipalities want you to have a say in the Province of Ontario's regional government review
The Province of Ontario is making key decisions about the future of Oxford County and its eight area municipalities. What does that mean for your community or municipality? What is important to you as a resident of Oxford County?
Oxford's municipalities are working together to make sure citizens know how to give opinions and feedback on how they are best served by their local government.

About the regional government review
Oxford County is one of eight regional governments, along with Simcoe County, that is undergoing a review by the Province of Ontario. The Province has described its focus as being on improved governance, decision-making and service delivery.
With the lower tiers for this group included, a total of 82 municipalities are a part of the provincial review. In Oxford, this includes:
- Township of Blandford-Blenheim
- Township of East Zorra-Tavistock
- Town of Ingersoll
- Township of Norwich
- Township of South-West Oxford
- Town of Tillsonburg
- City of Woodstock
- Township of Zorra
- Oxford County

In-person delegations
In April, the Ontario Ministry of Municipal Affairs & Housing accepted applications to present to the special advisors in person for residents and business located in one of the communities under provincial review. For Oxford County municipalities, this in-person consultation took place:

Which communities are part of the regional government review?
The Province of Ontario is reviewing eight regional governments: Durham, Halton, Muskoka District, Niagara, Oxford County, Peel, Waterloo, and York. Simcoe County, an upper-tier county government, is also included in the review. With the lower-tier municipalities included, a total of 82 municipalities are part of the review. See full list
Who is leading the review?
The review is being led by two special advisors, Michael Fenn and Ken Seiling. You can read their biographies here. The special advisors will submit their final report to the Minister of Municipal Affairs and Housing, the Honourable Steve Clark, in the summer of 2019.
