Pen and Pencil Case with Initials “F & C”
Upon his arrest Reginald
Birchall was found to have a
pen and pencil case in his
possession. The pen was
marked with the initials “F &
C”. This led the police to
believe that the pen was
originally owned by
Frederick C. Benwell thus
adding to Birchall’s apparent
guilt in the case.
