Public Notice: Construction Notice - Road surfacing on Oxford Road 19
Oxford County has awarded a contract to apply single surface treatment on Oxford Road 19, between Highway 19 and Zenda Line in the Township of South-West Oxford, to Walker Construction Limited of Niagara Falls, Ontario. The work includes asphalt padding, single surface treatment with stress absorbing material, and new pavement markings.
The first stage of the work is asphalt padding, followed by surface treatment resurfacing, and finally new pavement markings. Work is anticipated to begin June 2022 and be completed by July/August 2022.
What you need to know
The road will remain open throughout the course of these resurfacing activities. The contractor will complete the work using lane restrictions and speed reductions. County staff and the contractor will make every reasonable effort to maintain access for residents and businesses within the active construction zone.
Please continue to have your regular household waste and recyclables to the roadside by 7:00 a.m. on your regular pick-up day. If access for waste collection is interrupted by construction, the contractor will collect your bins and containers and take them to a central location for collection.
Homeowners are asked and encouraged to mark garbage and recycling containers with their house numbers so they can be returned to the correct properties.
