Moving Permit

Starting on January 1, 2016 Oxford County will be initiating a new Road Moving Permit process for oversized and overweight loads being transported on Oxford County roadways.

The new permit will include a schedule of new permit fees and insurance requirement:

  • Annual moving permit - $200
  • Temporary permit - $75
  • Project permit - $75/load to a maximum of $500

The new permit system will allow the Oxford County roads department to better serve you through a new mapping system. When unexpected lane restrictions or road closure occur, affected permit holders will be notified of the location and expected duration of the closure, along with any suggested route changes and necessary permit where required.

To obtain a permit download/print or fill out the online form. Submit the completed copy of the form by email to customerservice@oxfordcounty.ca
