The Indigenous Advisory Committee guides and oversees the development of cultural program supports for Oxford County Indigenous children and their families.
Role:The Indigenous Advisory Committee (IAC) will be responsible for monitoring and planning for recommendations to the larger Oxford Children’s Services Networks in matters relating to IAC programming and for promoting community collaboration as they pertain to the EarlyON Family and Children’s Centres.
MissionStatement:The IAC, through coordination, collaboration and cooperation will ensure an array of support for all Oxford County Indigenous children (prenatal to the transition to school), and their families to ensure that Oxford Indigenous children have the best possible start in life.
VisionStatement:The IAC will guide and over see the development of cultural program supports for Oxford County Indigenous children and their families.
In collaboration with Oxford County, the Oxford Children’s Services - Indigenous Advisory Committee is represented by:
- Local and Neighbouring Indigenous Service Providers
- Community Members/Agencies
- Local School Boards
- EarlyON Child and Family Centres
- Parents
