Welcome to Oxford County, the Dairy Capital of Canada!
On behalf of the County Council and Staff you are cordially invited to visit Oxford County.
A tour of Oxford County will please the eye with the various landscapes and picturesque country sides.
Oxford County is composed of eight lower tier municipalities. Ingersoll, Tillsonburg and Woodstock are our urban centres and the rural component consists of Blandford-Blenheim, East Zorra-Tavistock, Norwich, South-West Oxford and Zorra Townships for a total population of 114,000 people.
You will find a diverse economy consisting of a strong agricultural industry, three automotive assembly plants creating spin-off industries and many other small business and commercial enterprises.
The 401 and 403 highway corridors bisect Oxford County linking us to 5 Canadian and American border crossings making the County attractive for future development.
With the mix of agriculture and industry, we still retain the sense of “Small Town Community” which is ideal for raising a family and retirement.
Come and explore Oxford County as “we grow stronger together”!
Respectfully,
Larry Martin
Warden of Oxford County
